Due to the travelling time pupils outside of Workington are usually advised take 1½ hour lessons.  This ensures that the pupil gets to fully experience what they have learned in Workington which is the location of the nearest test centre.

The first few lessons (for a pupil who has never driven before) will be 1 hour in a suitable place near the pick up point, this would be to learn the Cockpit Drill, Controls of the car and to Move off and Stop safely.  For pupils who have already had some lessons/experience the first lesson would be an hour's assessment of their current driving ability.  From there we would work out a lesson plan to fulfill the pupil's needs.

Roz's aim will be to teach you safe driving for life and to enable you to reach the test standard as soon as possible.  This means not only ensuring you are  fully prepared for your test, but also to ensure you are fully prepared for driving SOLO after you have passed your test!!!

Pupils will be treated with respect and consideration.
I will advise pupils when to apply for their theory and practical tests, taking account of test centre waiting times.
I will at all times, to the best of my ability, endeavour to teach the pupil correct driving skills according to DSA's recommended syllabus.
